Our Projects

Each year, partner universities choose a competition topic based on a pressing issue in their local community. The university’s first action is to select a relevant non-profit partner whose mission is aligned with that year’s topic. Next, students are challenged to come up with an innovative plan to support the non-profit in its philanthropic goals.

We are building out a solutions database as a free resource for non-profits and communities who may find value in the innovative solutions that students have come up with over the years.

We encourage you to browse past solutions to learn more about the impacts we are having on communities around the country. And stay tuned for more solutions being added all the time!

Community Justice & Mediation Center

Given the social unrest and urgent need for better forms of resolution to social injustices, CJAM promotes restorative justice and seeks to unite communities together rather than divide them apart.

National Alliance For Mental Illness

National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) of Bloomington was badly in need of more resources and improved outreach abilities. In Indiana University’s second Impact Competition, the students proposed and implemented solutions.

Habitat For Humanity

Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, with students coming up with a solution to help Habitat for Humanity’s Monroe County chapter meet their mission of housing all qualified applicants.
