New Partner: Culver Academies in Culver, Indiana

The Impact Competition is proud to announce a new partnership with Culver Academies, a prestigious boarding school located in Culver, Indiana. This new partnership represents the Impact Competition's first collaboration with a high school, and the competition will be run through Culver's Ron Rubin School for the Entrepreneur.

​​The Ron Rubin School for the Entrepreneur was founded in 2006 to provide Culver students with a deeper understanding of creativity and innovation in the marketplace. Through interaction with successful entrepreneurs, a college-level curriculum, field trips to exciting destinations, and challenging competitions, and incubator funds that fuel creativity throughout the Culver campus, students gain a greater appreciation for the magic of the entrepreneurial spirit.

Culver Academies will be utilizing its endowment from Ron Rubin to integrate the Impact Competition as a part of their curriculum, beginning in the Fall 2022 Semester. Culver has chosen Culver Blessings as their non-profit partner, which is their local chapter of the organization Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit that seeks to ensure that school-age kids have hunger-free weekends by sending them home on Fridays with a backpack full of satisfying and nutritional food.

At Culver, the Impact Competition will be integrated into a class called Applications of Innovation. The Impact Competition staff are greatly looking forward to this innovative new format of the competition at the high school level and can't wait to see how the Culver student population works to create lasting change in their community!
